* You are able to complete Part One of the Waikato MBA in the evenings. Please refer to the Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies programme dates.

The Waikato-Tainui Hopuhopu programme is offered in alternate years.   


MBA Programme Requirements

The completion requirements for the Master of Business and Administration depend on your admission qualification.

If your admission was based on having a bachelor's degree, or demonstrated adequate training, experience and ability, then you must:

  • Pass 240 points at 500-level
  • Pass all the prescribed papers and achieve at least a B grade average in MBA Part 1 (subject to approval)
  • Fail no more than one paper
  • Complete any Assurance of Learning requirements.

If your admission was based on having a BMS(Hons) degree or a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies, then you must:

  • Pass 120 points in all of the papers prescribed for Part Two of the MBA
  • Fail no more than one paper
  • Complete any Assurance of Learning requirements.

If you achieve an A grade average or better for your papers, you may be awarded the MBA with Distinction.
